An Electrical Impedance Tomography System for Current Pulse Measurements

چکیده
In Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) measurement sinusoidal currents are applied on a surface of the human body and voltage response is measured in order to reconstruct conductivity distribution in a body cross-section. We have constructed an experimental system for EIT measurement based on voltage response to short current pulses. In this case resistive components of body impedance are measured. Measurements were realized in a vessel filled with water, and conductivity reconstruction was made using back projection method.

In this paper, a novel approach based on the Thévenin tracing is presented to modified conventional impedance-based out-of-step (OOS) protection. In conventional approach, the OOS detection is done by measuring positive sequence impedance. However, the measured impedance may be change due to different factors such as capacitor bank switching and reactive power compensators that it can cause the...
متن کاملDetecting Inclusions in Electrical Impedance Tomography Without Reference Measurements
We develop a new variant of the factorization method that can be used to detect inclusions in electrical impedance tomography from either absolute current-to-voltage measurements at a single, nonzero frequency or from frequency-difference measurements. This eliminates the need for numerically simulated reference measurements at an inclusion-free body and thus greatly improves the method’s robus...
متن کاملInduced current magnetic resonance-electrical impedance tomography.
Magnetic resonance-electrical impedance tomography (MR-EIT) is a conductivity imaging method based on injecting currents into the object. In this study, a new MR-EIT method, whereby currents are induced inside the object by using external coils, is proposed. This new method is called induced current magnetic resonance-electrical impedance tomography. In induced current MR-EIT surface electrodes...
